OnlineVideoShare is built with a privacy-first approach, prioritizing anonymity and ephemeral data storage. This policy explains what we collect, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Guest users.We do not require accounts for guest uploads. We collect only the minimal technical metadata required to host and stream your video, such as the custom name you provide and your video’s playback settings.
Registered users. For those using Gmail or email/password authentication, we collect your email address to manage your account, storage metrics, and video albums.
2. Video Data & Storage
Your videos are stored securely using Cloudflare R2. We do not “own” your videos; we simply host them according to your specified settings (e.g., password protection or download permissions).
3. Data Retention (Lifecycle Policy)
- Guest uploads are automatically and permanently deleted after 10 days.
- Free user uploads are automatically and permanently deleted after 30 days.
- Paid user content is stored indefinitely or until the user chooses to delete it.
4. Security
We use industry-standard encryption for authentication and password-protected shares. Password hashes for protected videos are stored in our MongoDB database to verify access.
5. Your Rights & Contact
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, reach out using the contact details below. We respond to all verified requests within 30 days.
